I honestly don't know why I love this movie so much but I do. It's freakin' awesome! It has great action scenes, tells a good story, and of course has great sci-fi elements. I definitely recommend this one!

"The Fifth Element" is one of sci-fi's best and worst. As far as storytelling goes, the story is a bit muddled with too many loose ends not being tied up...just frayed endings the audience is supposed to deal with. I think there was too much comedy (Chris Tucker) for its own good, but it brought a lot of different audiences together to appreciate a very well-conceived story. The acting is sub-par (except for Ian Holm and Gary Oldman who were AWESOME!), and the writing is only half-stilted. I loved it and found it incredibly entertaining though and would recommend it to everyone.

Great Sci Fi flick... Lots of action and some humor. Milla is awesome in it and Bruce is always a good leading man. Lots of fun and guns and save the world romance.

Surprising. Not the best film every made but still fun and enjoyable. Willis and Jovovich are great together. There are also a lot of funny parts in this film.

Another movie I watch and watch and I don't get tired of. Every character fits, the chemistry between Willis and Jovovich is great and the whole thing works perfect. Is not a masterpiece, but is indeed one the best sci-fi films ever. Besson wrote the script being a teenager.

Bruce Willis, a half naked Milla Jovovich, Ian Holm and Gary Oldman... there is no way this movie could go wrong! Lots of humor, tons of action, and it seemed to come out of no where. When this movie was made I never really remember seeing trailers for it, I don't recall there being posters advertising for it, and yet this now cult classic is one that I have to watch at least once a year! Luc Besson was definitely in the right place at the right time to get ahold of this script. After coming off of the Professional (also Starring Gary Oldman) this was a completely different style movie and it made for such an awesome sci-fi flick. If you haven't seen this movie yet, just check it out! It is well worth it.

The Fifth Element is unlike any other sci-fi film out there. It mixes action, comedy and drama, plus it has the perfect score. It may not be as serious as, say, Blade Runner, but it has a style all its own.
