A brilliantly-crafted film, full of both hope, charm, and wit. There is a huge difference between this film and other animated films this year. One major difference was that this film made up for its slyly sarcastic tone by being charming, and covered for its adult themes by introducing them in a safely innocent manner. I loved the voice-over work and enjoyed the writing better than any other Wes Anderson film. A great achievement in filmmaking history.

The animation was great. Very retro, but still really great and well done. The voice actors were all fantastic and really fit their role. The story was great and in the sarcastic tone of Roald Dahl. I laughed all the way through this very enjoyable movie. Oh and while its PG its not really for young children as lots of animals die and well are generally snarky, which is boring to most small children.

There's some really creative stop motion animation in this tale of a family man fox lured back into his younger lifestyle as a thief. The story is okay as Mr. Fox goes a little too far and brings the wrath of the farmers not just on his family but the animals all around. There are times though, that the story drags, and it being a Wes Anderson film, there's a few instances where things were a little too quirky for my taste. If you're an Anderson fan you'll enjoy it, if you're not, you may be checking your watch a few times, like the guy sitting in front of me.
