It started out great, but they extended the ending WAY beyond necessary. Jude Law isn't even needed in this movie. They should have left David in the pool.

This was a very moving film. The storyline was sad yet wonderful. I usually like horror and action but this was a really good movie. It isn't very famous and i think Steven Spielberg should get more credit for this glorious film. I disagree with the rating people have given this movie. It deserves a 3.50 out of 4.

Most will disagree with me, but this Spielberg's most thought provoking picture. The music by John Williams is gorgeous, Haley Joe out performs the cast once again. Either I view the ending in a different way, or most do not understand it.

Started with Kubrick, ended with Spielberg - if one or the other would have worked on it alone, I think it would have turned out better. However, as it stands, it's still a pretty good film. My biggest problem is the ending. Too sweet.
