I'm giving this movie a good not on the basis of history or intelligent writing, but as a faithful adaptation of a comic book. The movie is the very essence of Frank Miller's work. So, although the movie may be critiqued as having a great deal of homo-eroticism, the film is visually compelling. Forget the dialogue, forget the plot, forget everything but the soundtrack and the film reel. The movie is more of a live action comic and although that may not make for an "incredible" movie, it does make for an entertaining one. I definitely think that Zack Snyder will be getting a few films to direct thanks to this debut of his.

This could very well be one of the more bad ass movies ever made, after seeing it in the theater i had an urge to fashion a spear out of the theater seats and stab all of the people around me. The action was amazing, CG blood has never been so cool, and their were titties. Need i say more? This movie damn near turned me gay that is how bad ass the dudes were in this movie, that is all i have to say about that

I would have to agree with both of the previous reviews in that this movie does an amazing job of making you feel like you're part of the battle, but there is a very important aspect of this film that has yet to be touched on.... This movie is quite simply one of the most incredible soft porns I've ever seen. Not only were the love scence incredibly well done; romantic, sensual, steamy and even a little angry at times, but seeing these intense men battle for the lives and the lives of their families in an outfit we only see on babies these days is in incredible turn on! So ladies, the next time your man suggests another night of war, blood and movies stear them toward 300. I promise you won't be dissapointed!!

Take the brutal action of a Frank Miller graphic novel, mix it with cutting-edge digital special effects and just enough titillation to push an R rating, and you have 300. Lots of blood, little emotion, but enough action to keep me happy.
