I simply could not finish watching this, so perhaps it's unfair to rate it. But I did get 1.5 hours in, and I just felt like watching another hour would be a waste of time. The story was somewhat interesting, but the acting left me cold. The characters should have been really compelling, but I didn't find myself caring about any of them. I would be curious to try the book, though, at some point, as I did think the ideas presented had promise. Oh, and I thought the opening credits sequence was pretty good.

I didn't care for the graphic novel and I don't care for the movie. I find the story to be boring and the characters to be unappealing. The special effects of the movie was great as was the casting.

An overall outstanding movie with Great Direction and Sub par writing. The film is PERFECTLY cast and everybody does a great job, specifically Jackie Earl Haley and Malin Ackerman, who are both incredibly underrated talents. The Visual Effects are stunning and the action scenes are superb. The film also makes great use of great songs, something not done well in other films like this. I think that this is Zack Snyders best film, for sure.

ok cmon now i have read the graphic novela dn it's A great book I get that and i think the film was very closely resembled to the novel but I think that they should have changed one thing................. The blue dick all the tie now A few shots of it fine but he wore pants through Nam in the film but after that blue balls put some pants on it's hard to take things serious with that all over ,now if we take it out what we have is A good film A film that didnt live up to the hype but A good film with very solid acting and few flaws not better than 300 but still a greatr movie about not your average heros

The movie was just fine except for one crucial point it made. That is that it is ok to kill a million people in order save a billion people. The movie gave this message as if those were the only two options. How about the third option: don't build nukes at all!

Anyone who says Watchmen is not true to its source should probably take time to read the source. I believe Watchmen was great for being "unfilmable." the problem was that Snyder(as good as he is) didn't want to disappiont the core fans. In doing so he took away from his own ability to create a story that entertained everyone. One very good thing about it was (and I'm a fan of the Graphic novel) the ending. it was all together better and less cheesy. All in all i was not disappointed. And people who hated it for the soul reason of "Blue Penis" need to try and be more comfortable with there sexuality.

ok I've not read the source material, indeed I hadn't even heard of it till about a month before the movie came out. During the beginning credits there's a scene that showed Kennedy being shot. It was very vivid, and in my opinion in extremely bad taste. On top of that it's insanely long. And has blue penis like every ten minuets. Don't take your gal to see this or she just might make you watch Confessions of a Shopaholic.

I went in the movie having ready roughly 2/3 of the graphic novel. Although I loved the movie and think that Zach Snyder really has a knack for translating this type of media to the big screen, I do believe that the book was more effective in the long run. That being said excellent movie, not your typical superhero fare.
