Most overrated movie of all time. A waste of time.

A fantastic film with great performances by a remarkable director...even though it runs on for too long.

This would be one of my favorite movies ever if it wasn't for the damn love story part... Oh well, added some great symbolism. Entertainment and sale value went up. It's a bit long though. Excellent film though, if you are one of the few that hasn't seen it, I suggest you do. It's well worth it.

Titanic is a movie I find myself compelled to watch every couple of years. Its a film where I accept its many many flaws and see it for what it was: A cinematic spectacle. The script is horrible, the characters one dimensional, which make the actors seem uncomfortable (only Billy Zane really gives it some effort) and Director Cameron and Composer James Horner oversweeten almost every scene, but as entertainment, it works wonderfully. There are several moments in the film I really despise but no doubt in another couple of years I will watch it and enjoy it all over again.

Everyone get off your high horse and realize what a great movie "Titanic" was. No, this was not Leonardo DiCaprio's shining performance, and neither was it Kate Winslet's, but it still was awesome. And everyone agreed to it back in 1997 when it ran in theatres for over a year. A great James Cameron film that was revolutionary and heartbreaking.

Imagine grossing $1.8 BILLION in worldwide sales revenue. This makes the TITANIC the highest-grossing film production of all time! I guess the OSCARS says it all: BEST PICTURE, BEST DIRECTOR, and 9 other awards to boot. The waves of success for this romance-drama picture took its soundtrack music 16 weeks of being #1 in the United States. The Norwegian singer SISSEL KYRKJEBO and Canadian artist CELINE DION became worldwide successes. The ill-fated RMS TITANIC brought down hundreds of lives to the deep, but failed to sink the love between Jack and Rose. A most romantic and moving drama of all time.

I think that I have seen this movie at least 30 times since I was 3 years old. I have been dieing to see it again but have not gotten the chance to. This is probably my all time favorite movie and always will be. My all time favorite for romance that is. Leonardo Dicaprio did a lovely job along with Kate Winslet. I have never re-watched a movie so many times in my life, but this one is just much different from all the others.

Not nearly as good as it's hype. But, it does have some pretty cool scenes.

Probably my all time favorite romance movie. The reason I loved this movie so much is it's a romance and a history lesson. Jack Dawson (Leo Dicaprio) is every woman's dream guy. He loves Rose (Kate Winslet) so much, he gives up his life for her. In turn when she jumps off the lifeboat to be with him she shows how much she loves him. This part always gets me everytime (Yes...I watched it many many times). She gives up everything to be with him. These are the love stories I just love. When two people will do anything to be together. The visual effects are fantastic and the other storylines are very interesting as well.
