This was a great action/sci-fi film. If your a fan of any of the original Star Trek films/shows, you'll enjoy the origin stories of the characters and the catch phrases. I don't remember a dull moment in the film.

how does the attack on the Kelvin make Capt. Pike older and not as handsome? I'm sorry Bruce Greenwood doesn't hold a candle to Jeffrey Hunter. Karl Urban as McCoy is by far the best part of this movie, he captures Deforrest Kelly's cadence of speech without sinking into a simple impression. There was one major thing wrong with Simon Pegg as Scotty... he wasn't in the movie enough!!!

I'm very happy that the new Star Trek stayed true to the feel of the original show and movies. The casting was great. The story was fun. This movie got everything set to go again so I'm really excited to see what they do with the next one. Overall, I was very satisfied with the action and how funny the movie was.

Good start to a new Star Trek rebirth. Definitely worth seeing. Good action and humor. If done right, future movies could be really awesome.

It has been a while since an action movie was this entertaining. I havent felt this exited since Spider-Man 1 & 2. The casting was just perfect, although I had my doubts about it at first. I have nothing but good things to say about the visuals. I even loved the lens flares! JJ Abrams managed to do an almost perfect action scifi movie. Only thing that could have made it even better would have been a theme of some kind.

As a pretty big fan of Star Trek, I can easily say this movie was great. A ton of action with humor and the characters came out and shined. Did it totally comply with what happened in the old series, no. But I'm ok with it. Totally worth watching!
