With all cast members giving unforgettable performances, J.J. Abrams reboot of a classic franchise shows us that Star Trek boldly goes where no one has gone before.

Really thought this movie was pretty medium. I thought the rise of Kirk was pretty ludicrous, but I was willing to let it slide. There were also a number of scenes that really didn't make any scientific sense, but I would have let those slide as well, if the plot and character motivations had been believable.

Well there is truly only A few words that can be said about this movie some of them are"Epic"Amazing" "unlike anything I have seen before" this movie is a whole new level of star trek it wiill let ordinay people who aren't in love with star trek enjoy A movie that blows the other Treks away .I am not A huge fan of the trek films but this one I have to say just blew me away it lived up to what the previews showed and now days most films just don't do that,when you think of A huge summer blockbust over 50% of them ARE Crap just garbage but one in lets say every ten is A great movie Star Trek is 2009 summer hit.

Injects new life into the series. Not just a great summer movie, but an all around great movie. Trekkie or first timmer, you will have a blast.

After rewatching the first ten films, I can say this one's the best. Quinto is masterful as Spock. If they allow the characters to evolve from here -- without boxing them into a bunch of catch phrases -- the new series will be phenomenal

As you see the zooming ships fly by you tell yourself that this movie has come a long way since the beginning. Director J.J. Abrams brings the Star Trek series to life with its 2009 movie. The special effects are beautiful and its sets are just amazing. I am obsessed with this movie because it was so good. But the only thing that bothered me was that, would I have like this movie if I had never seen anything Star Trek related prior to seeing this show? Who knows but my biased opinion gives this movie a 4 out of 4.

This is a really good movie. There's really nothing bad about it. Just try not to think too hard about the impossibleness (yes, that's a word, because I said so) of time-travel when watching it. It can become a bit distracting. But, other than that, it's a great movie.

brilliant! jj officially made star trek mainstream cool! great casting too, i can't see anyone else playing spock as well as quinto did (big fan of his on heroes too!) pine was really delicious as kirk too, haha. the score was EPIC and the fx were mind blowing. it was just so cool. loved it.

Never seen a Star Trek movie, have never watched an episode on television, and have done my fair share of making fun of Trekkies. All that being said, however, this was a pretty good movie with a good story and excellent casting. Other than a few minutes of Kirk running from monsters on a snow planet, the film never loses focuses and delivers well. I will say one more thing, though - wow, Leonard Nimoy looks old.
