One of the best horror....no wait....suspense...um...thriller...things. But yeah, this movie's awesome. Great performances, a chilling atmosphere, the ingenius plot, and the suspense is what makes this film a masterpiece.

The Silence of the Lambs is a real classic and really a must see. I say this even though Horror and Thrillers are probably my least favorite genre of movies. Some movies just need to be watched. Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins are both amazing in this.

"The Silence of the Lambs" is scary, thrilling, illuminating, and beautiful: all without losing integrity or taking a punch where it shouldn't. To explain, Jodie Foster, Anthony Hopkins, and Anthony Heald all intregrate characters, all wildly vivid and incredibly unique, into the same artistic vision, writing and directing beautifuly done. Winner of the Best Picture Oscar and deservedly so, this film is recommended more than most when it comes to movies that aren't just movies, but film. Artistic and raw, this movie rocks.

It's almost like JODIE FOSTER and ANTHONY HOPKINS were married to their roles as Clarice and Dr Lector forever! Honestly, after watching the film, I was wondering whether these two could still separate their real lives from the flick personalities they took on. Whoa!!! I guess I just stumbled on some gold. Virtually riveting..one of its kind....will never be equaled for all eternity...

A deeply suspenseful thriller full of masterful writing, great acting, creepy characters, and perfectly fitting musical scores. Hopkins is incredible as Dr.Hannibal Lector, and helps build towards what this movie really is. One of the best thrillers ever made. Jodie Foster holds up as well, though I'd like to see her friend's character develop, and what not, The Silence Of The Lambs is believe it or not, the ultimate thriller. FINAL SCORE :::: 85% ::::

This is probably the greatest psychological movie of all time. These are the perfect roles for Hopkins and Foster. And, the dialogue is spectacular. The best line is at the end when Lector says he'll be having "an old friend for dinner." I'd give it three thumbs up, if only I had three thumbs.

A seductive story of hero vs. serial killer, Silence is an intellectual modern masterpiece responsible for adding Hannibal Lecter to the canon of iconic killers; a monster as known for his civility as well as his violent and cannibalistic mannerisms. And although the mystery plot mechanics provide genuine tension, and the grisly moments appropriately horrifying, it's really the scenes between Foster and Hopkins that carry the picture. The on screen chemistry, a dichotomy of good and evil, is almost unique given the relationship and quality of portrayal. Silence represents the best of it's genre; 3.5 stars.

Scared the crap out of me. This was the first film I saw as a young person that let me know that my high degree did not keep me safe from folks out there that could tear me into pieces. Anthony Hopkins was super scary, lovable, and you could feel a bit (just a bit) sorry for him... actually, you might feel more sorry for the poor sapling that couldn't figure out that a man who looks at you crazy should not be approached within 10,000 feet. But, ah alas... that's what makes a good horror flick, right?

For its time, this is one of the most chilling thrillers! Hopkins is amazing as the brilliant and terrifying Lector. Foster is fantastic as Agent Starling. The killer in this story was based on a combination of Ted Bundy and Edward Gein, two of the most disturbing psychopaths in U.S. history, so he's plenty frightening . Although not as disgusting and over-the-top as the latest genre of gross-out thrillers, this one has a dramatic story that makes you think and the acting is superb. Not for young audiences.
