Plot: Margaret Ford (Crouse) is a psychiatrist who is trying to help Billy Hahn, a gambler who wants to end his life. Billy confesses that he owes $25,000 that needs to be paid if not he will be killed. She then looks for Mike (Mantegna) to compromise the dilemma. She gets close to Mike and wants to write about his line of work.
