Plot: Based on the true story of best-selling celebrity biographer Lee Israel who, during the 1970s-80s published books on the likes of Katherine Hepburn, Tallulah Bankhead, Estee Lauder and journalist Dorothy Kilgallen. But changing tastes means Israel finds herself no longer able to get published.
