Plot: Following the death of her mother a young girl is drawn into a custody battle between her grandfather - a rich, white and lonely man who cares for her deeply, and her paternal grandmother, along with her lawyer brother, who seek to surround her with a loving family in an urban neighborhood. Both have the best intentions for the girl, but will come to better understand race, relationships and forgiveness and learn nothing in life is black or white. -- Chris Kavan
