Wonder Woman Really Does Save the Day and DC

I guess it does take a woman to do a man's job. No doubt that Zack Snyder, David Ayer, Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck and the rest of the DC universe but, man, were Man of Steel, Batman v Superman and even Suicide Squad were some depressing affairs. Too dark and mean-spirited for their own goods - DC's initial efforts to emulate the success of the MCU fell woefully short. However, Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot have come along and righted the ship (at least for one movie) as Wonder Woman not only has a...

The Mummy - A Bad Start to the Dark Universe?

The Mummy is directed by Alex Kurtzman, the same guy that wrote the script for the Amazing Spiderman 2. The funny thing is, both of these movies were made to create their own universe. We all know how the spidey universe turned out and to be honest, this isn't much better.
Tom Cruise plays an ex soldier named Nick Mortan.
Tom cruise is an awesome actor and sells every role. He does his own stunts and is very likeable in his movies.
I liked his character but he's kind of a dick. He's just ou...

Wonder Woman is wonderful

We all were holding our breaths for this one. We wished, prayed, wanted this to be a smart well thought out action packed movie that doesn't make our heroine play second fiddle to anyone. Turns out our fears were unnecessary Thankfully, the writer's an director gave us exactly what we wanted. Smart characters who make thoughtful choices in a world not of black and white decisions. I mean all the characters had good development and their moments added to the story. The special effects and action...

I'd put this one somewhere on par with the first two. It takes a more serious tone but still has some light hearted bits. Javier Bardem shines And Geoffrey Rush brings his best again. Time to reinvest in the franchise after two very bad sequel.s

Whoever thought of that theme music is a genius!

Gal Gadot plays Diana, Princess of Themyscira, and daughter of Hippolyta. Best known as Wonder Woman.

And by god she kills it in this. Wonder Woman is not merely the best installment of the DCEU so far but it's probably the best DC movie since the Dark Knight trilogy. Wonder Woman is also one of the most entertaining superhero debuts since the first Guardians of the Galaxy. On top of that, there is finally an excellent movie to set the benchmark for future superhero movies about a female her...

It's a good enough ending. Is that spoiler free?

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is a solid addition to the one franchise in Hollywood I'm sure no one saw coming, that one swashbuckler series based off a theme park ride. Who know?

Anyway, Dead Men Tell No Tales revisits the drunken rascal Captain Jack Sparrow who must thwart yet another supernatural villain to save his own hide-and the world if he must. This new foe is ghost pirate Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem) whose ghastly crew include phantom sailors, zombie sharks, a...

What a wonderful film. It features great acting and Rob Reiner really has a great touch. He makes this fun for all ages, yet also enjoyable enough for adults.

Everything about this film is memorable, the characters, the quotes...oh the quotes, there are too many to list. And I love the plot device of having Peter Falk reading to Fred Savage, that way, we don't have to suspend are belief that this is or isn't really happening, it's already a made-up story...and remember: "Never go in ...

The film is about a young man takes on a liberal approach to nobility when he gambles, duels, and fights his way to becoming a nobleman while winning the heart of a woman. Takes place during 18th Century Europe. This movie had a good cast and brilliant directing by Mr. Kubrick himself. The acting is fantastic and the sets and the look of the movie is really good.

A charismatic, sophisticated period piece.

There's not an awful lot to say about this movie. That may seem like a bad sign, but it's not as bad as it sounds.
Kubrick always leaves a pending mark in your mind. This movie didn't astound me, nor do I remember most of it, but that's okay, because I at least had an interesting time watching it. I normally hate period pieces, but all I can say about this one is that it is genuinely interesting. There's no layer before the battle with Kubrick, he balances the story well.
The music in this mo...
