Adequately funny comedy. Wacky shenanigans and characters populate an average story. It's got enough laughs that I found it mildly enjoyable. |

Another good movie with Jason Statham
good thriller/action ..
descent plot ..but yet again the entire film lead to the big ending that only last 5 minutes ..
he kills the entire crew much to quickly (personnal view) ..and would of liked to see more from jello
would watch again ..

Take The Untouchables, L.A. Confidential, Chinatown, etc, and throw 'em all in a blender but get rid of the all the great qualities of those films while dumbing it down to an incredible level with cheesy gimmicks to appeal to people who can't watch anything that requires the least bit of thought or taste and you have "Gangster Squad". Don't get me wrong, it IS entertaining. But I also find godawful B movies entertaining so that isn't saying much. The problem is that we've seen this film before ... |

A Glimpse of an Un-Engaging Film

The story is a simple tale of a guy getting over a girl, via a narrative style similar to that of 'Annie Hall'. However, this film does not contain the character, intellect, charm, or humor of it's reminiscent distant cousin. Instead of examining the relationship, we examine this main character by seeing his random fantasies that happen in almost every scene. Some of these fantasies made me chuckle, but they ultimately feel less purposeful. It's almost like they are present just to showcase... |

Better Murder Through Chemistry

What starts off as a seemingly straight-forward story about the evils of heartless drug companies takes a nifty twist that becomes a much better thriller involving some well-laid plans - devious and inventive plans I might add. It's not often that I get surprised, but I am happy to report that Side Effects did the trick and made the movie that much better.

With the amount of pedigree involved, Stand Up Guys certainly has the potential to be a knock out - but somewhere along the way this actor's piece gets a bit bogged down in combining comedy more suited to some teen-centric demographic along with over-dramatic moments that just never gels with the actors involved.

Interesting story and good acting. This movie was well done, but it's not at all scary. Like, at all. They made Mama sort of goofy looking, which made me laugh a couple times. The ending is cool.. I'd watch it again, but wouldn't go out of my way to see it. |

basically a horror movie with more kids who see things etc but this time its aliens , its like a thousand other movies everyone seems to be the same story.. the kid see's something acts odd etc. things go bump in the night but nothing really happens. most of it is just silly really. the ending of this movie is awful.
