Mr. Keller Dover's and Franklin Birch's daughters, Anna and Joy, becomes missing while Alex Jones is a prime suspect. Detective Loki heads the investigation. Everything from the acting, story, background music and camera direction were spotless. Only concern this reviewer had were the instances where "luck" played a huge part in keeping the plot moving, camera shots that prolonged the length, a concrete conclusion. lack of better continuation and a better development/history of the antagonists. Unpredictable but one has to be patient to see its results and the meticulous direction. Screenplay was filled with quotable lines such as: "Be ready...I'm proud of you son." "This ain't right." He's a good man." and "Pray for the best, prepare for the worse yeah?" The picture reminded me of Silence of the Lambs in terms of its dark premise, a "who dunnit" mystery thriller and just sensational acting. Dano, Gyllenhaal and Jackman were perfect in their roles, which makes it more enticing to watch. Overall, an almost perfect crime drama which may not be a classic for its genre but certainly worth viewing despite some of this critics observations.
