M*A*S*H review

"There's a time and place for everything damnit!" Considered by many as one of the greatest comedies/films in film related lists. Admittedly this reviewer is not fond of the director's many popular efforts but is willing to try again since it is a comedy. Highlights were the recorded love scene of Major Frank Burns (Robert Duvall) while Captain "Hawkeye" Pierce (Donald Sutherland) insults him after the incident and taking blackmail pictures of the Col. in Japan. The football game just prolonged the film and most of the humor just weren't funny at all. As always, not much of an impact coming from a director which just doesn't make entertaining films though it's impact is everlasting. M*A*S*H may have been one of the best movies/comedies in various list, unfortunately it doesn't for this particular critic.
