Cheech and Chong's Up in Smoke review

Not well directed or even acted, and yet it made this reviewer laugh out loud (especially the "big o" scene and sniffing a white substance called...). It's direction was like a journey instead of a structured plot. Much like an earlier Harold and Kumar or Wayne's World. If only the leads had better character development, meaning how they got to where they were (unless this reviewer missed something or a movie of theirs).

Soundtrack was cool and humor effective, unfortunately due to the abrupt ending, figures with lack of intellect and flow, it comes out as a decent comedy. Overall the film felt like a sitcom instead of a movie. A classic case of the sum of its parts were better than the whole. This critic however can see why it has gained popularity and cult status. Cheech and Chong's Up in Smoke has its moments, if only it were written/directed.
