Scanners review
Daniel Corleone - wrote on 11/20/12

Freak of nature, born with a certain form of ESP; derangement of the synapses which we call telepathy. - a description of s Scanner. A type of film where the innovative enticing premise is buried by lousy acting and a dull script. This could have been an effective horror but because of its complex intricacies, countless explanations were needed. Lack of interesting figures makes this picture almost unwatchable. If only there were persuasive and likable characters and a bigger budget and time for production, this would have been better. Scanners may not have a high entertainment value with regards to character development/dialogue, it's still one of the memorable works from the master of gore which incorporates themes of technology and morality.
