The Three Stooges

The Three Stooges review

Had the aura of Dumb and Dumber but with less impact and punch to tickle the funny-bones. Moe (Chris Diamantopoulos), Larry (Sean Hayes) and Curly (Will Sasso) were literally thrown in an orphanage. Moe was almost adopted but something happened along the way. The three best friends try to raise money to keep the orphanage from closing due to a huge debt. They meet a lady named Lydia (Sofia Vergara) to pay them the much needed money to kill her husband for malicious intentions. Hayes, Sasso and Diamantopoulos were tremendously funny and comedic timing stayed true to the original Stooges. Soundtrack was descent but the real somewhat drawback was the lack of authentic humor. Despite some coyness with the supposed laughable scenes, it had some comedic moments/lines, especially the "stage sequence" and Moe with the Jersey Shore cast. Some noteworthy lines: Larry - "Try to live in the now." Mother Superior - "Like Moses in the desert, I believe the Lord will guide them. Because they're pure of heart." and funny ones: "Just because it says "Genius" on her hat doesn't mean she is one!" from Moe and "Do-nut Remove-uh." from Larry. The Three Stooges is a descent slapstick that has a heart where themes of friendship and trying to make things right were exemplified.
