Dylan Dog: Dead of Night review

Dylan Dog (Brandon Routh) is a private detective who gave up fighting monsters. He is aided by Marcus Deckler (Sam Huntington) and is eventual a victim of the same killer of Elizabeth’s (Anita Briem) father. Brandon Routh’s performance just kills the coolness of the character, impossibility of how he can even walk after the final brutal fight was questionable, and the sudden personality of Elizabeth for personal motive was preposterous. Even the romantic angle was absurd. Sam Huntington definitely steals the scenes with his comedic timing/lines. Soundtrack and direction could have been better. Humor was spot-on, if only the rest of the film were improved. Dylan Dog had its positive and negative aspects, still worth a watch for fans of monsters (zombies, vampires, werewolves and even ghouls).
