Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid review

Butch Cassidy (Paul Newman) and The Sundance Kid (Robert Redford) rob banks together. Falling into the rapids filled with rocks and emerging without getting hurt was somewhat impossible. Dialogue was oftentimes cheesy and iffy while the pace sluggish due to the images coupled with the soundtrack. This reviewer has no concerns with long slow moving films such as Tree of Life or 2001: A Space Odyssey because it was gorgeous to look at, moving pictures unfortunately is boring. Flicks related to bank robbery such as Bonnie & Clyde, Heat, Ocean’s 11 and Dog Day Afternoon were more engaging. Humor and acting were effective though. Cinematography was scenic and soundtrack enlightening mixed with hypnotic chants that make you sleepy. Both leads were good, which was evident throughout the film. Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid overall is a descent western about friendship and being outlaws.
