Thumbsucker review
Daniel Corleone - wrote on 03/31/12

Justin Cobb (Lou Taylor Pucci) is a 17 year old who has the habit of thumb sucking. A dentist namely Perry (Keanu Reeves) performs hypnosis. Mr. Geary (Vince Vaughn) is Justin’s teacher and includes him on the debate team. The dialogue was smartly written with lines from the characters: Perry – “Some of us have heavy loads.”I’ve accepted my human disorder.” Justin – “So now these celebrities are more important than your family.” “Too much pressure.” “Why can’t you tell me anything with how you deal with things?” Audrey - “We’re all addicted to something.” A film about growing-up, bad parenting, lies; experimentation, family, and relationships were portrayed wonderfully. The hallucination scenes were funny, soundtrack cool and screenplay was fabulous. Performances all around were good. Thumbsucker is a descent watch for a comedy drama with realistic scenes.
