A group of students namely a smart fixer Bobby (Eion Bailey), an ex cop on a wheel chair Vince (Clifton Collins Jr.), insecure Sara (Kathryn Morris), caffeine lover Rafe (Will Kemp), a fearless Lucas (Jonny Lee Miller), Nicole (Patricia Velasquez) a smoker, the outsider Gabe (James Todd Smith aka LL Cool J) and assigned team leader J.D. (Christian Slater) were assigned by Jake Harris (Val Kilmer) to be tested in a small island off the coast of Virginia. One of the best lines from Harris - “But nobody's perfect.” and “Well, I say where there's, a skill, there's a weakness.”

The soundtrack, set pieces, stunts acting and camera direction were effective. Extra features are worth viewing from the DVD. Only reservation I had was the main motive of the serial killer, The Puppeteer and the too well planned murders, and nonsensical sequence with the numbers used by blood and letters on the coats. Despite some cracks on the plot, Mindhunters is an underrated thriller missed with action coupled with a smart twist in the end.
