Hart's War review

1st Lt. Thomas Hart (Farrell) was captured by the Germans. Hart discuss his interrogation to Colonel William McNamara (Willis). Staff Sergeant Vic W. Bedford (Cole Hauser) is murdered and a guard sees 2nd Lt. Lincoln A. Scott (Terrence Howard) and is accused of the act. Hart is requested by McNamara to defend him in a court-martial proceeding. The score and dramatic scenes were amazing. Pace of the story tends to slow down towards the middle and only picks up after the murder, which lacked sufficient scenes of the actual act. Furthermore, insufficient action for this type of genre were due to the focus on the flawed characters. Screenplay was good with a sample line from Col. William McNamara: “If we dual, we both lose.” Terrence Howard was astoundingly sensational in his role. Willis and Farrell were likewise solid. Hart’s War is a powerful drama touching on topics ranging from racism, honor, and courage to sacrifice.
