Hostage review
Daniel Corleone - wrote on 12/15/11

SWAT officer Jeff Talley (Willis) is a hostage negotiator failed his mission in LA. He then moves and becomes a police Chief in California. Dennis and his brother Kevin, together with Marshall "Mars" Krupcheck held Walter Smith (Pollack) and his two children hostage. Smith has been laundering money for a mysterious criminal syndicate through offshore shell corporations. Bruce Willis was very convincing with his performance, same goes for the supporting cast. Score was not that interesting and some scenes ran too long which doesn't coincide with the story. A film about sacrificing for your family, moving on, illegal activities and trust. Hostage is a mixture of Die Hard, Ransom and Panic Room but with immature antagonists vs. the masked men who never had a chance with Talley as if in a Mexican showdown in the end.
