Sherlock Holmes review

Detective Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey, Jr.) and partner and Dr. John Watson (Jude Law) try resolve cases involving Lord Henry Blackwood (Mark Strong). Blackwood plans on ruling the world. The film had a few unbelievable sequences such as Blackwood predicament on the chains and Holmes avoiding the explosions. Soundtrack was applicable and dialogues were fast to present the ingenuity of the main lead. This reviewer feels there was an excess in style and overloaded with too much action instead of slowly representing the facts on how Holmes was able to discover each revelation from Blackwood and his escape. The fancy action and effects were a given, the real challenge in this genre is how to make it engaging intellectually without impressing the audience. Sherlock Homes was like a cross between Bourne and John Nash of A Beautiful Mind. Sherlock Holmes in my opinion was interesting depending on the scenes, overall it was either great or dull.
