Death Proof

Death Proof review

Stuntman Mike (Kurt Russell) introduces himself to the friends of Pam (Rose McGowan). He notices that DJ “Jungle” Julia Lucai (Sydney Tamiia Poitier) is on a billboard. A flashback ensues after Mike is detained for the gruesome murders. Group of ladies have been followed by Stuntman Mike even taking pictures. He gets beaten to a pulp by a group of ladies with a mean streak. You have references from Pulp Fiction (dialogue and foot fetish) and Kill Bill (the whistle on a ring tone) with a touch of female character build-up. Continuous conversations about cars, relationships, and movies from the beginning to the middle portion. Its soundtrack was good and the only thing good was the car chase scenes and stunts. Russel was impressive in his deranged role. Death Proof is a thrill ride filled with long dialogues and some bloody scenes.
