Moonraker review

It's funny how Bond manages to kill an assassin from a tree instead of a bird without any repercussions, jumping off another cable car with perfect balance, how women throw themselves at him or a couple kissing never notices how their boat was cut in half. The humor, editing and one liners were just awful. The dialogues were just too long and some of the fight scenes seemed choreographed to the point of silliness. Reference from great films such as the soundtrack of Close Encounters of the Third Kind (password to open the door), Casablanca ("play it again Sam"), Jaws (villain), Good the Bad and the Ugly (Bond riding the horse), Star Wars in terms of sci-fi effects. Unfortunately, the homages and effects cannot save this movie. Moonraker felt forced to impress via posh locations, attractive ladies in bikini's and gadgets, but just didn't answer this reviewers cravings in terms being a good Bond flick.
