Probably one of Jim Carrey's very best comedic performance. Great soundtrack, scenic cinematography and witty scripts that made the flick more engaging aside from the physical slapstick humor. Lloyd Christmas (Jim Carrey) and friend Harry Dunne (Jeff Daniels) finds a way to locate Mary Swanson (Lauren Holly). Has a few twists in the end and the journey was really hilarious. Some memorable lines: Lloyd - "Life's a fragile thing, Harr. One minute you're chewin on a burger, and the next minute you're dead meat." "I'm sick and tired of having to eke my way through life. I'm sick and tired of bein' a nobody. (pause) But most of all,... I'm sick and tired of havin' nobody." " I'm only human, Harry! Anybody can make a mistake. Come on! Stop bein' a baby! So we backtracked a tad!" Harry - "Just when I think you couldn't possibly be any dumber, you go and do something like this…and totally redeem yourself!" Carrey and Daniels have terrific on-screen chemistry, the new age "Odd Couple." Some scenes are outrageously unbelievable, still the premise and overall output was sensational. A film of friendship, luck, determination and chance. Dumb and Dumber tickles our funny bones from start to end while letting us relax and enjoy without thinking too much.
