Slow Starting, By-the-Numbers Kidnapping Thriller

I was going to leave a quick review of this movie and make a joke about how it's like making fire by rubbing sticks together: It takes forever to get started, and once it does the people watching get bored and realize it was done better before.
But since it doesn't have a full, honest review I'll be more fair.
That being said, this movie is VERY slow to start. My girlfriend, who's usually very tolerant of movies, commented, "Something better happen soon or I'm shutting this off. It's like a reality show." This was in the first 20-30 minutes of the movie.
Once the movie gets going, however, it becomes a very by-the-numbers kidnapping thriller. You know where things are going from the beginning. You can almost check off the things as they show up in the movie. There was only one big surprise, and even that was kind of drown out in the mediocrity.
And people giving away their cars for her to use as transportation? I've never been to Portland, OR but I can't imagine people being that nice or stupid. "You want to borrow my car? I just met you 15 minutes ago, but sure. As long as you promise to bring it back tomorrow."
But I do realize there's a bit of suspension of belief. And all in all, it's not a bad movie. It's not a great movie, but it's not terrible either. It just felt like it's all been done before.

Pretty lame movie. The plot was good and the suspense kept me on my feet but the ending sucked. She killed the killer in one swift move. no bloody action scenes? really? come on now.
