Iris (2001)

Fails in character development
Ichabod Crane - wrote on 01/12/10

The problem with the film is just about everything but the acting which has good things about it. The film otherwise just has an idea of the characters and does not real develop the characters well. The early Iris is just a "free spirit" but nothing more than that, and old Iris just is about having Alzheimer disease. John Bayley's past and future are a little more complicated but still the film focuses a little too much on him being dependent.
