The Razor's Edge (1946)

Poorly done film about a man searching for himself

A really annoying film actually, that I had trouble getting through the first time. It is about a guy looking for himself and then trying to be great guy. That is all there is to the character no more, he has no dark side to him or anything else that is it. Then there are the other characters who you do learn enough about or their character shift into complete evil suddenly in some scenes like the Gene Tierney Character involvement with the Anne Baxter character. None of the character were that well written or developed even though some of them were played well. It is a film that just does not work and there is one scene at the end where they want you to feel sorry for a character who was just a jerk through the rest of the film poorly done.

Oscar Nominee Best Supporting Actor Clifton Webb 2/5- Webb plays a standard snob character throughout the film and does his standard snob well and in the end has one big scene at the end to show off, but it is mostly just the standard snob throughout and does not do that much and the big scene is okay but does not make sense for the character,
