Eventual Redemption

I like this movie regardless of its blinding flaws because it's not afraid to cross that line between raw sensuality and pornography. Even though it feels like nothing much had happened throughout the film, at the same time, it feels like something did. The protagonist did go through some obstacles and she had learned something by the end of the picture (arguably). Eric Balfour's character is the heart of this film even though he looked really sleazy in the begining of the movie. The sex scenes are titillating but they did not feel like they were happening just for the hell of it. This is a film about sex addition and eventual redemption so it was necessary to show the wild nature of passion. I'm glad the filmmakers did not sugarcoat most of the material. If they did, I would have disliked this film. I'm glad to see a non-European film pushing the limits of sexuality.
