Gross and Somewhat Entertaining

It was a little cheesy for a kid movie but I ultimately thought it was okay. I did enjoy the worm-eating scenes because the worms looked so real. It made me wonder how the film crew made the worms. There was also a nice evolution regarding the characters' personalities and values even though it was somewhat flimsy. I don't think the kids will care about character development because the gross scenes will pretty much overshadow this film's lack of depth. I guess I was looking for another "mature" kid film like "Bridge to Terabithia" or "The Last Mimzy." Still, the kids are cute and they made me wish I had another sibling to take care of. If you have a little brother or sister or cousin that needs babysitting, sit them down in front of this fim. It will definitely grab their attention.
