Pure poetry, pure adrenaline. This picture will always remain on my favourite films list. The dialogue, the props, the characters, the story, the soundtrack--all are perfectly handled (not to mention memorable) throughout. I know that a group of people decided to divide this movie into two, but I will always consider it as a one giant film. That's why my review for "Kill Bill Vol. 1" and "Kill Bill Vol. 2" are the same. Uma Thurman should've been nominated for an Oscar because she was extremely engaging and convincing as a bride who was hell-bent on revenge. Unlike most Quentin Tarantino fans, I think this is his finest film to date. I did love "Resevoir Dogs" and "Pulp Fiction" but they lacked an extra "oomph" that this film has. This film is over-the-top, cartoony, and relentless but I think that's what makes it so great. Also, I respect Tarantino's boldness: he's not afraid to share with his audience the films and pop culture he enjoyed even if he has to throw references line after line to the point where it's too much. I wish more writers and directors would be like him. And I wish more films would be like this one.
