There's an important lesson embedded in this film: if you merely watch the media coming from the United States and not do research on your own regarding issues of the world, you're bound to get brainwashed. It's a shame this movie is dismissed by critics and audiences alike due to its subject matter. I thought this movie was tense and the script is tight and gripping. Sure, the ending was kind of awkward and tried to pull off an "Oh, wow" factor but the rest of the movie was brilliantly executed. It's funny because I was against the supposed protagonist here. He succumbs too easily to stereotypes, doesn't think things through, and untrustworthy because he's really paranoid about everything. There were some unintentional laughs here but I thought that was necessary. This movie allows us to laugh at ourselves for being racist and nourishing the stereotypes that's been thrusted upon us.
