A Too Perfect View of Islam

I would recommend watching this film in conjunction with a complete study of Islamic history. Directed by a Muslim, it's obviously an over-simplistic and over-idealized portrait of the beginnings of the religion. There are some striking scenes, but there are also a lot of flat dialogue scenes (the film is three hours long.) Also, I understand the need to never show the Prophet himself, but some of the POV shots they used to portray him seemed gimmicky and distracting.
