I think if this film were allowed to be R-rated, it wouldn't have held back on some of the material, but it's still an often very funny "fish out of water" story. Rainn Wilson is the heart of the film, channeling a goofy and immature aging rocker and for those who know the music industry, there are fun nods to some of its nuances.
