City of Lost Children, The ( Cite des enfants perdus, La )
3/4 stars
The strength of this film is obviously the steampunk dystopian visuals. For that alone, the film enchants. Plotwise, the film is less linear and sometimes that can get frustrating. Characters and plotlines drift in and out of the film. While I prefer Jeunet's better Amelie and A Very Long Engagement, the film is still ultimately engaging.
