Blood does not compinsate for story

This movie turned out to be a bit of a let down. The trailer looked epic. With a plot and title of Ninja assassins how could one go wrong? Well... sorta like this. Though in all fairness, with a plot and title of Ninja Assassins it could have went much much worse.. The action here was top notch, cgi excelent as well as the fighting scenes. Everything else on the other hand.... Meh, I'm one of those people that finds a hard time enjoying movies because I can't help but think how much better they could have been if certain things had been different. In this case for instance, the story. I could have invisioned great things with a story line similar to this however the one presented is really... meh. You want great martial arts action with an excelent story line see unbreakable... You want awesome violence and gore with cool weapons and dont care to understand why they're fighting.. watch this... Why they do try and explain his reasoning it really doesn't seem to make much sense to me. Trying to do this without spoilers it was almost I guess like a straw that broke the camels back senario where it's like sure none of that other shit pissed you off but this did? Not just piss you off but turn against everyone you've ever known and worshiped your entire life? There is a bit of a love story going on here which I really would have like to see developed because as it is now (and I dont know which actress it was but her acting was horrible and cheesy.... think voice over dub yet shes actually acting and speaking english... another gripe I had about the movie) but as it is now its just sort of unbelivable and cheesy. Undeveloped and really unwaranted. The other main character Mika is borring and predictable and frankly I think this movie would have been much better off without the whole cop angel. While the main actors, Rain I believe (whose name alone annoys me) his action was great but his acting needed work... Maybe it wasn't so much the acting as it was the dialog and writting. I love my martial arts movies but I cant get into them unless I really understand and feel for what they're fighting for, with this one... Yeah I get it... you put it in my face but that doesn't mean I understand it, the reasoning could have been made much much better and you're left with an M&M without the peanut inside... theres just something missing and sure some people would just be satisfied with the chocolate but once you know how much better it could be with a peanut inside chocolate alone will not do... Unless you're allergic to peanuts then you're fucked... go watch twilight.
