Young Sherlock Holmes
Great adventure film for kids
3/4 stars
This was a film that I really enjoyed as a kid. I remember it coming out right around the same time as other classic kid adventure movies like "The Goonies". I have always thought that this was an attempt at taking the classic character of Sherlock Holmes and trying to find a way to introduce him and his persona to a new generation. Perhaps it was done in an effort to take the older stories from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and make them something that the younger generations would become interested in reading.
The story is great, the effects were really well done for their time, and over all I think this is a great way to get kids involved in one of the most well known fictional characters of the ages.
