Carousel
Its not Oklahoma, but its ok.

The stage version of Carousel sets a certain standard that this film really couldn't reach. The film isn't bad but it is not nearly as good as it could have been. If you like Rogers and Hammerstein musicals and you have see this done live, then you might find this one to be a bit of a let down as it wasn't done nearly as well as many of the other stage to film productions. Frank Sinatra originally had a part in this film but backed out before shooting began.
