Bulworth

Incredibly Dark Political Satire

"Bulworth" is a daring movie to be made. It deals with the film industry, Welfare, insurance companies, big government, and more. J. Bulworth (Warren Beatty) is a Californian Senator running for reelection to another term in Washington. Something inside of him snaps at all of the corrupt things going on and he turns into an insulting, truth-speaking, all-out radical from a quiet democrat overnight. That's the basic plot line. Bulworth tells it like it is and doesn't care who hears it or how they're going to feel about it. The movie makes daring references to the everlasting inequality in our society, and how little, or how much against it, politicians are doing. The senators are in the insurance companies' pockets, while going on in the other side of town, twelve-year-old's are running drugs. Things are said in this movie that truly make a person realize how bad things are. It is a great movie, and some of Beatty's best work.
