The Karate Kid, Part 2

Breaking ice

After the smash success of The Karate Kid, it was decided that they would continue the series. Since Daniel had already proven his strength in the USA, it was time to take the story elsewhere. Where could be a better place to go from here? Okinawa of course, where Mr. Miyagi grew up. After receiving a letter saying that his father is dying, Mr. Miyagi (Pat Morita) decides to journey home to pay his respects. He offers Daniel (Ralph Macchio) the opportunity to go with him. Along the way Miyagi meets an old rival, and Daniel makes an enemy of his own.
Over all the movie is ok, it wasn't a bad follow up to the original, it definitely kept the story going, and it was good to continue with a cast of characters that were well developed from the first film.
