Creepshow

A Little Bit of Everything

Creepshow has a mix of different elements to make the movie one of the most well-rounded horror movies that I've ever seen. There are five different stories, each more unique than the last.

The first story was "Father's Day". The story and characters were alright, but the overall appearance and showing of the segment was unoriginal and boring. The segment dragged on and on, almost as if it would never end. When the segment ended, I was almost relieved. I couldn't wait to see the next one.

Speaking of, the next segment was called "The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill" which features Stephen King himself. I loved the idea for the story, but not really how it played out. There was something about the way the story was shown that I didn't care for. I was surprised to see that Stephen King acted as well as he did, but he is "The King" after all. (Hehe.)

The third segment was "Something to Tide You Over", which was the best segment of the movie. The way the story was presented was amazing. I loved the characters as well, plus the main actor was Leslie Neilson. I was surprised to see him in a horror movie, but I didn't feel like he took the job as a joke, like most of his roles.

The forth segment was "The Crate", which was one of the weaker stories. The story itself started out strong, but as the story progressed, the idea deteriorated. The way the story progressed made the idea worse and worse. When they showed the monster in the scene, the idea went down hill.

The last segment was "They're Creeping Up on You!", which was one of the better portions of the movie. I loved the idea, but some of the effects needed work. As the story progressed, the idea just got better and better.

Overall, Creepshow is a great horror movie with a little bit of everything.
