X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Unleash the Beast
3/4 stars

Since the beginning of the X-men movies we all know we wouldn't be as crazy about it if Wolverine wasn't there. And since then we all wanted to see how far Jackman would take the role and make us diehard fans satisfied. By now I could definitely say I'm satisfied. I can also say that this is the kind of closure to a saga I've been wanting to see since seeing Jackman bring this beast to life. See I've always liked him as Wolverine but when he remove those claws and start singing Broadway, it's not a pretty sight. Well the movie in my opinion is definitely worth the wait. Jackman embodies this character with his heart and soul and brings just the right balance between the character's sanity and his animalistic rage. The fight scenes were quite impressive. Not to mention Sabertooth was also equally as brutal and as beastlike as Wolverine which is a good thing. Also seeing Gambit finally getting some action after so many years in the making is so satisfying. It made my spine tingle a little bit after seeing him do his thing with the playing cards. Although I would have liked to see him in his own film. The effects were all good, brilliant in fact though there is this one particular scene in previews I don’t like. The scene where Wolverine is seen flying, we all know that’s a bit cheesy even for a Wolverine film. The story is as good as the comic books so you need not to worry about drastic alterations of any sort. The cinematography is also surprisingly taken into detail, so it’s definitely a sight to see. A little suggestion I might add about the fight scenes, I really think that it would make it a little interesting had they used Snyder's trademark Slow-mo techniques to highlight some of the battle scenes. Overall it was just good clean fun seeing all these characters to life and as I've said before this is the kind of closure we're all been waiting for so finally we can rest the Wolverine saga in peace.
