Widely off the mark satire that throws in a few too many pot shots at certain Americanisms.
The cast are game and the movie improves as it goes on but it never quite convinces in its intentions.
Dennis Quaid is good as always as a George Bush like President and is backed up well by Mandy Moore and Willem Dafoe. Hugh Grant phones his performance in and Chris Klein is simply awful.
A few chuckles here and their but this movie can’t really decide which way to go (broad comedy or biting satire) which is a real shame because the idea of a movie based on the public’s obsession with reality TV should have been so much better.
