Stephen King has had a banner year, with It, Gerald's Game and Mr. Mercedes being some of the best adaptations from the master of horror. While 1922 may not reach those heights, it is still a good one to watch thanks to the atmosphere and stellar performance from Thomas Jane. The film relies more on the psychological horror aspect than outright scares, but does a good job of capturing one man's decent into madness. A slow burn but well worth your time.
