The animation is only so-so and I would say you have to be a pretty big Ralph Bakshi and Frank Frazetta (and probably D&D) to get much out of this - as compared to Disney and Pixar, it won't turn many heads these days. The story is typical - oppressed kingdom, lone hero, mysterious warrior, princess in peril, etc. It doesn't skimp on the violence.
