Feels like a watered-down version of Full Metal Jacket - I just didn't get the same impact I felt from Stanley Kubrick's film even though it featured many of the same kind of characters (it even had R. Lee Ermey) and scenes from that film. Still has something to say about the futility of war, there's just better examples out there.
